For sponsors

Coordinate your field study across teams, sites and owners.

Follow enrollment, safety and data quality in the same workspace your clinics and monitor use, without seeing owner identities or breaking the blind. At the end, receive a locked database and exports your statistician can use.

Example data
The sponsor’s dashboard for the example study: 42 dogs on study, 90% of owner check-ins kept, 97% of clinic visits kept, 6 open queries, 5 adverse events, and enrollment by site with the forecast for reaching 120.
Example study CMF-2026. The organizations, people and animals are fictional. Shown as the sponsor’s viewer sees it: blinded, with no owner identities.

What you see

Visibility without touching the data.

A sponsor’s viewer reads the study as it runs: enrollment by site against target, owner check-ins kept, visits kept, open queries and adverse events. A serious adverse event emails the workspace owners and investigators the moment it is recorded.

  • Enrollment by site, with a forecast for the last subject
  • Stock at every clinic and the day each runs out
  • Adverse events as they are recorded, serious ones first
  • Blinded by default; owner names never shown to a viewer
Example data
The Sites page as the sponsor’s viewer sees it: every clinic side by side with subjects, owner check-ins, visits, overdue visits, queries and adverse events, and Harrowgate Veterinary Clinic’s four open items.

How review works

A review your monitor runs in the product.

Data checks raise queries as values are saved. The monitor works through them beside the record, source-verifies what the study’s plan asks for, and the investigator signs off. Before a cut, the study shows which visits are clean and what stands in the way.

  • Queries raised, answered and closed where they were asked
  • Source verification and sign-off by the plan you agree
  • A data cut, visit by visit, before you ask for the data
Example data
The data cut for the example study: for each visit, records expected, entered, without open queries, source-verified and signed off.

What you receive

Deliverables your statistician and a reviewer can use.

When the study locks, the database carries a fingerprint. You receive one CSV per form with a data dictionary and a SAS program, a signed JSON bundle with the audit trail, and an archive with every document and photo.

  • A locked database with a fingerprint
  • CSV per form, data dictionary and SAS program
  • An export anyone can check offline, without an account
Example data
Export and audit in the example study: the study archive, the JSON bundle with audit trail, the subjects CSV, the data dictionary, the SAS program and how to check a bundle.

Who does what

The software keeps the records. You and your investigators run the study.

The protocol, the ethics review, the consent text and any regulatory filing stay with the sponsor and the investigators.

What Signalment does

  • Keeps every entry, change and signature on an append-only audit trail
  • Limits access by role, by site and by blinding
  • Versions forms, protocol, consent and every record
  • Produces exports that anyone can verify offline

What your study team does

  • The protocol, ethics review and any regulatory filing
  • The content of consent and the veterinarian–client–patient relationship
  • Adverse-event reporting on the protocol’s timelines
  • Procedures, training and validation for your intended use

The film

One study, from the first form to the locked export.

For those who want to see the whole run: a fictional company sets up, runs and closes a randomized, blinded study in 24 dogs.

Example study LJC-01: a collagen chew against placebo in 24 dogs over twelve weeks. The company, product, dogs, people and clinic are fictional; every screen is from the product. 1 min 53 s, with captions.

Specialized uses

Studies Signalment is built for.

Supplement and nutraceutical brands

A randomized, blinded study behind a claim, with owners recording at home and a veterinarian examining at the clinic.

Peptide, longevity and research-use products

A first controlled study: consent, dosing questions, adverse events and a locked database you can show a reviewer.

Animal-health biotech

A pilot or field study across clinics, with a monitor, blinding with coded kits and exports a reviewer can verify without trusting the software.
